Le Fragole di Mamma

Le Fragole di Mamma

Ingredients:
approx. 100 g strawberries 
1 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
1 tbsp brandy (or anther sweet liquor to taste) 
1 can whipped cream

  1. Wash the strawberries (being careful to drain off excess water) and remove the stem/leaves. Dice into a large bowl. 
  2. Sprinkle with sugar and brandy and mix gently to coat all the strawberries. 
  3. Let chill in fridge during the meal, then serve in individual dishes with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top. 
  4. May be eaten immediately, or as is common in AmoreMio's family, the whipped cream is then mixed into the strawberries to absorb the liquid, creating a kind of strawberry soup.

  1. Hi Haley, I finally found you again. I love your fotografia delle fragole. Growing up, we used to make them with lemon and sugar, whipped cream was optional, and it made the fragole always better. Thanks for the memories...
